Connect your Stripe account

You take card payments through your own Stripe account. Connect it at Settings → Homeowner payments — the same screen as the last step of the setup wizard. PoolHelm hands you off to Stripe, you fill in your business details, and Stripe sends you back.

Have these to hand

  • Your business’s legal name and address
  • Your tax identification number — EIN, or Social Security number if you’re a sole proprietor
  • The bank account you want payouts to land in
  • A government photo ID for whoever owns the business

The money is yours

The account is yours, in your name, with your bank details. Customer payments land in your Stripe balance and pay out to your bank on Stripe’s normal schedule. PoolHelm never holds your money and never takes a cut of it.

If it says payments aren’t available yet

That’s a real message, not an error on your end. Card payments are being switched on gradually. Nothing else is blocked — you can run routes, complete visits, and send invoices for payment by check meanwhile. Come back to check again.

Worth knowing. Your customers never create an account. They get an email with a link, pay on a Stripe-hosted page, and that's the whole experience. No password, no portal, nothing to install.
