Adjust or pause your reward amount

Open Referrals, edit Credit per side, then choose Save. One number governs both sides. The page calls it “a double-sided credit: the referring customer and the new neighbor each get this amount off a bill.”

The $25 a side is a starting point, not a fixed cost.

Raising it

Where a new customer is worth several hundred dollars a year, $50 or $75 a side is still the cheapest customer you’ll ever buy. Do the math on your own numbers, not on the default.

Lowering it

Some businesses run $10 or $15 a side because the recognition matters more than the amount.

Pausing it

Set the credit to $0.00. Useful when you’re at capacity — another route’s worth of customers can cost you more in hiring than it earns.

Check first. $0.00 is the off switch, not a zero-value reward. The page says it plainly — "no new referral credits are created until you raise it again." A tech who taps the invite at Finish gets a message telling them the program is turned off.

Referrals that arrive while you’re paused are not lost. They keep their link to whoever referred them and simply wait. Raise the amount, and the next paid invoice from that neighbor unlocks both credits at the new figure.

Changes apply to future rewards only

That’s the page’s own wording. Credits that already unlocked at the old amount stay at the old amount. Nobody’s promised reward gets rewritten after the fact.

Before you cut the number: the old offer is already sitting in invites your customers have received. Dropping from $25 to $10 mid-season leaves some of them looking at a promise the program no longer pays. Cut it between seasons.
