AI and weather preferences
Settings → AI Preferences controls how loudly PoolHelm’s automatic features talk to you. Weather settings live here now — they used to be on the Organization page.
The four weather controls
- How should PoolHelm respond to severe weather? — Off, or “Alert me — I’ll decide.” There is deliberately no option that reschedules a customer for you.
- Email customers on weather skips — whether Skip & Notify sends the customer the reschedule email straight away. Turn it off and a weather skip becomes a purely internal action.
- Rain-path threshold — the forecast rain chance at which a stop counts as “in the rain’s path” on your timelines and summaries. Default 60%.
- Send me a test weather email — sends the exact customer template to your own login address so you can read it first. Nothing goes to a customer.
What actually triggers an alert
Rain chance on its own never does. An alert comes from thunderstorm risk or an official National Weather Service warning. The rain-path threshold changes what’s shown on your timelines. It doesn’t manufacture alarms out of ordinary weather.

Two other sections — route planning and your morning briefing — say exactly that. The features work: routes get built, the briefing arrives every morning. The settings to tune them aren’t built yet. Nothing is broken and nothing is switched off.
PoolHelm will not skip a stop for weather on its own. There’s no switch for it, on purpose. AI catches the storm. You make the call.
