Paying your invoice online

If your pool company takes card payments, the invoice email includes a link to pay. Tap it, enter your card details on the secure payment page, and you’re done. If there’s no link on your invoice, your pool company hasn’t switched on card payments — pay them the way you always have.

A few things people ask

Do I need an account or a password? No. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to install. The link in your email is all you need.

Is it secure? Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, one of the largest payment processors in the world. Your card details go to Stripe, not to your pool company and not to anyone else.

Where does my money go? Straight to your pool company’s own account. The payment page carries their name because it is genuinely their account.

Can I pay by check instead? That’s between you and your pool company — plenty of them accept checks. Ask them.

Can I save my card so I don’t have to do this every month? Yes, if your pool company offers automatic payments. Look at the bottom of your invoice email or your service report — there’s usually a line reading “Tired of paying each time? Set up autopay” with a link. Follow it, save a card once on the secure payment page, and future invoices pay themselves. You can also just ask your pool company to send you the link. You can stop it any time by telling them.

My card was saved but the invoice still says unpaid. Give it about an hour. Automatic payments aren’t charged the instant an invoice is sent — the payment processor schedules them a short while later. Your invoice email tells you when the charge is due to go through.

I lost the email. Ask your pool company to resend the invoice. They can do it in a few seconds.

What are the extra lines on my bill? Depending on how your pool company prices, an invoice can carry more than the service charge: the chemicals that went into your pool, priced individually, and any extra work — a repair, a filter clean, an hour of labour. Some companies include chemicals in one flat rate instead. Both are normal; your invoice shows which one yours does.

Do I get a receipt? Yes, however you paid. Card, check, cash or bank transfer — once the payment is recorded you get an emailed receipt from your pool company saying what was paid and how.

I think the invoice is wrong. Reply to the email. Your service reports show exactly what was done at your pool on each visit, so it’s usually quick to sort out.
