Referral credits explained

If your pool company runs a referral program, they can send you a credit for referring a neighbor. Here’s how it works.

You get a link. Your technician sends it to you at the end of a visit — that’s the usual way it reaches you. Once it’s yours, forward it, text it, or hand it over at the fence.

Your neighbor signs up through it. They fill in a short form. No account, no password.

Once they’ve had their first service and paid for it, both of you get a credit — typically $25 each, though your pool company sets the amount.

How the credit reaches you

It comes off your bill. An upcoming invoice will be reduced by your credit, automatically. There’s nothing to redeem and no code to remember.

A few details

  • The credit is a credit against your bill, not cash. It isn’t paid out.
  • It won’t take an invoice below zero. If your credit is larger than what you owe, that invoice simply goes to zero.
  • More than one credit can apply. Refer several neighbors and you may not see a bill for a while.
  • The credit unlocks only after your neighbor’s first paid service — not when they sign up.

Why the wait? It keeps the program honest, which is what lets your pool company keep offering it.
