What it takes to get set up

About 90 minutes from signup to a built week of routes, if your customer list imports cleanly.

Have these to hand

A card for the trial, a customer list exported from whatever you use now, and the names of the services you sell. None are required — all three make the first hour faster.

The path

  1. Start your free trial — a few minutes.
  2. Walk the setup wizard — 20 to 30 minutes, nine steps.
  3. Bring your customers over — 10 minutes if you import, longer by hand.
  4. Build your week’s routes — one click, a couple of minutes to run.
  5. Get your techs on their phones — 5 minutes each.
  6. Run a real day. Every completed visit emails the customer a service report.
  7. Send your first invoice. PoolHelm drafts them from completed visits.

Three things that will slow you down

Being straight about these saves you the frustration.

  • Some imported addresses won’t verify. Those customers wait instead of going on a route. PoolHelm would rather tell you than send a tech to a guess.
  • Your chemical catalog arrives switched off. On purpose — nothing should recommend a product you don’t stock.
  • Customers don’t switch themselves on. When one has everything it needs, PoolHelm marks it Ready. You flip it live.

Check first. Two things have to happen in order: service levels before you import customers, chemicals before dosing formulas. Everything else can be done in any order.
