A customer wants fewer emails
A customer can switch off one kind of email — weather notices — and nothing else changes.
Weather emails carry an unsubscribe link
Every reschedule notice has one at the bottom. A customer who follows it stops receiving weather emails from you. That is all it does.
What unsubscribing does not stop
- Service reports after every visit.
- Invoices, and the link to pay them.
- Payment receipts.
Service reports and invoices carry no unsubscribe link. Weather notices are a courtesy; an invoice is business. Somebody tired of storm emails should not accidentally stop receiving their bill.
Turn weather emails off for everyone
Don’t wait for customers to unsubscribe one at a time. Switch Email customers on weather skips off under Settings → AI Preferences. Weather skips then stay internal, and you tell customers however you prefer.
Stop one customer’s service reports
Turn Service Email Enabled off on their customer page. That is your action, not theirs — a service report is proof of work, and most customers want it even when they say they don’t.
Texting
PoolHelm does not text your customers, so there is nothing to opt out of. See “Can I text my customers?”
