What happens if my payment fails?

Your account keeps working normally for seven days while you sort the card out.

The sequence

  1. The charge fails. PoolHelm and Stripe both try again over the following days. Most failures are temporary and clear on their own.
  2. You’re told — in the app, and by email. Usually it’s a 30-second fix.
  3. You get seven days. Routes still build, techs still work, invoices still go out.
  4. After that, your account goes read-only. You and your team can still open PoolHelm and see everything — customers, routes, history, invoices — but you can’t make changes until the payment goes through.

Nothing is deleted. Not your customers, not your routes, not a single service record.

Fix it

Go to Billing, manage your subscription, and update the card. Access comes back as soon as the payment clears.

If the card is fine and the charge still fails, call your bank. Business cards frequently block recurring software charges as suspected fraud. Then email support@poolhelm.com and we’ll look at it from our side.
