What's in your service report
Your pool company emails you a service report after every visit. It’s the record of what happened at your pool that day.
What’s on it
- The visit — the date, the time, and the technician who was there.
- Water readings — chlorine, pH and alkalinity, each shown against the range it should be in. Green means that reading is where it should be.
- What was added — which chemicals went into your pool, and how much. Prices aren’t here; if your pool company charges for chemicals, they’re on your bill.
- Work done — the cleaning and equipment tasks finished that day.
- Photos — taken at your pool during the visit.
- Notes — anything the technician wants you to know about.
You don’t have to make sense of the numbers. They’re there so you can see the pool was tested.
Read the notes
A worn part, a torn liner, low water — it’ll be in there. A part flagged in June is a cheap fix. The same part in August is usually an emergency.
